Planning An Event?

The Shire of Toodyay approves a large number of one-off public events each year including outdoor concerts, festivals, and exhibitions.

If you would like to host an event in Toodyay, please follow the steps below:

1. Submit an Event Application Form

2. Liaise with Community Development Team on the details of the proposed event

The Community Development team will respond to the Event Application via email or phone.

Submission of an application form does not automatically imply approval. Applications are not confirmed until payment has been received and a conditional approval letter has been issued.

3. Shire to review application and issue letter      detailing conditional event approval

Please note that Council approval will be required for most public events.

4. Full payment of event charges and bond payable

Please refer to the current Fees and Charges, as approved by Council for the subject financial year. 

5. Confirmed event, subject to fulfilment of event conditions

Public event applications will require you to submit further applications for permits/ licences/ approvals/ access to other departments across the business, dependent on the specifics of your event. 

6. Event held

The event site will be inspected by the Shire to ensure compliance with all plans and applications and the final certificate issued.

7. Event de-brief

The event organiser and Shire will share feedback on the entire process and event.
