Planning An Event?

The Shire of Toodyay approves a large number of one-off public events each year, including outdoor concerts, festivals and exhibitions.

If you would like to host an event in Toodyay, please complete an Application for a Public Event form. This must be submitted to the Shire at least 60 days prior to the event date.

As all events vary significantly in complexity and in their degree of risk to public health and safety, event organisers must also provide the following documentation with any application:

  • Planning papers showing the site layout, including but not limited to food stalls, parking, first aid and temporary structures
  • Copy of Public Liability Insurance
  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Emergency Evacuation Plan
  • Risk Management Plan (if the event is catering for 5000 or more patrons)
  • Stallholder Application (Food & Food Products) or Stallholder Application (Excluding Food)
  • A completed Liquor Licensing and Gaming Licensing Application (if applicable)
  • Regulation 18 Noise Exemption Application (if applicable)
  • Parking Management Plan (if applicable)
  • Any other relevant information as discussed with the  Shire of Toodyay.

Another important factor to consider when planning an event is accessibility. The Creating Accessible Events checklist is an informative guide to help you make the most of your event.
