Planning An Event?

The Shire of Toodyay approves a large number of one-off public events each year including outdoor concerts, festivals, and exhibitions.

If you would like to host an event in Toodyay, please complete an Application for a Public Event form and submit it to the Shire at least 60 days before the event date.

As all events vary significantly in complexity and in their degree of public health and safety risks, event organisers must also provide the following documentation with any application:

  • Planning papers showing the site layout, including but not limited to food stalls, parking, first aid and temporary structures
  • Copy of Public Liability Insurance
  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Emergency Evacuation Plan
  • Risk Management Plan (if the event is catering for 5000 or more patrons)
  • Stallholder Application (Food & Food Products) or Stallholder Application (Excluding Food)
  • A completed Liquor Licensing and Gaming Licensing Application (if applicable)
  • Regulation 18 Noise Exemption Application (if applicable)
  • Parking Management Plan (if applicable)
  • Event Traffic Management Plan (if the event may have a direct/indirect effect on road users)
  • Any other relevant information as discussed with the Shire of Toodyay.
