The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) may declare a Total Fire Ban. A Total Fire Ban prohibits the lighting of any fires in the open air and any other activities that may start a fire.
A Total Fire Ban is not the same as a Harvest, Vehicle Movement & Hot Works Ban. For more information on Total Fire Bans, visit the DFES website. DFES advertises Total Fire Bans on their website and via media outlets such as ABC Local Radio.
