Formerly known as Avon Regional Organisation of Councils (AROC)
Some basic facts are as follows:
Regional Population: approx.21,730 (2021 Census)
Area: approx. 10,600 sq km
Year of Formation: AROC was formed in 1999 and renamed AMP-UP in 2025
Toodyay, Goomalling, Northam, York and Victoria Plains
To work cooperatively for the benefit of the region and well-being of the community.
Regional priorities include advocacy, housing, emergency management, Corella management, waste servicing, shared services and securing funding for the region.
