AMP-UP stands for "Avon Midland Peri-Urban Partnership”

Formerly known as Avon Regional Organisation of Councils (AROC)

Regional Population:   approx.21,730 (2021 Census) 

Area:                              approx. 10,600 sq km

Year of Formation:      AROC was formed in 1999 and renamed AMP-UP in 2025
