On 24 April 2025 the Shire of Toodyay Council resolved, under absolute majority, pursuant to the provisions of section 3.12(3) of the Local Government Act 1995 and Section 62 of the Bush Fires Act 1954 its intent to adopt as tabled, the Shire of Toodyay Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2025

Alan Hart joins the team at the Shire and brings with him over 30 years of Local Government Experience. Alan is extremely experienced with Local Government finances with proven results of achieving best practice and top 20 Local Government status. Alan is looking forward to joining the team at the Shire and working with the team and Council to achieve the corporate outcomes for the benefit of the community.

Works are continuing with installing crossovers and improving the drainage along the entire length of the road.

At a Special Council Meeting on Wednesday 6th November, the Council of the Shire of Toodyay resolved to change the current structure for administering the Shire to ensure an appropriate structure is in place.
