Proposed Dedication of Burt Parkway, Nunile as a Public Road

At its Ordinary Council Meeting held on 6 August 2026, Council resolved to commence public advertising for the proposed dedication of Burt Parkway, Nunile as a public road.
Reserve 48170 is currently a C Class reserve for Public Recreation vested in the Shire of Toodyay. An existing formed roadway and car parking area runs through a portion of the reserve and provides a trafficable connection through the surrounding road network.
The proposal involves excising approximately 1.2 hectares from Reserve 48170 and dedicating the land as a public road. Formalising Burt Parkway as a public road will help provide a continuous public road network through the area, assist with the future installation of service infrastructure and support bushfire planning requirements.
The plan below shows the approximate area proposed to be dedicated as a public road.
