Update: Local Planning Scheme No.5 Amendment No.1

The Shire of Toodyay wishes to advise that Local Planning Scheme No. 5 – Amendment No. 1 has been approved by the Minister for Planning on 8 April 2026, following consideration and recommendation by the Western Australian Planning Commission.

Amendment No. 1 provides for:

  • Reclassification of a portion of Lot 9508 Burt Parkway, Nunile from Public Open Space reserve to Residential zone with density coding of R12.5 and R30, and Local Road reserve.
  • Reclassification of Lot 8006 Murray Walkway, Nunile from Residential zone to Public Open Space reserve and removal of the R10 density coding.
  • Modification to Clause 15 relating to Additional Use AR1; and
  • Amendments to the Scheme Maps accordingly.

The approved amendment will be published in the Government Gazette and will come into effect from the date of gazettal.

The Shire thanks all community members who provided submissions during the advertising period. All submissions received were considered as part of the assessment process.
