Final citizenship ceremony for 2026 welcomes six new citizens

The Shire of Toodyay was delighted to host its final citizenship ceremony for 2026 at the Council Chambers.

Six conferees took the Australian Citizenship Pledge in front of proud family members and friends, who filled the Chambers to share in this significant occasion. The ceremony was presided over by Cr McKeown, with Cr Mills also in attendance to offer a warm welcome on behalf of the Shire.

Becoming an Australian citizen is an important milestone and a meaningful opportunity to recognise the diverse experiences, stories and contributions that strengthen our community.

This final ceremony brings the number of new Australian citizens welcomed by the Shire of Toodyay in 2026 to 28. The Shire is proud to have shared these special occasions with so many new members of our community throughout the year.

The Shire congratulates all new citizens and warmly welcomes them to the Toodyay community.
