Hello there, 2020! After a festive break that was both leisurely and went by in the blink of an eye, the Toodyay Library ladies are refreshed and ready to bring you another year of service with a smile – plus plenty of brand new books that will get your January off to an excellent start. Without further ado, here’s a sneak peek of what has just hit our ‘New Items’ shelves. Be sure to visit us to see what else we have available, and to borrow your favourites before somebody else does…

New In January

  • Final Option, Clive Cussler Juan Cabrillo and his team of expert operatives return in this latest entry in Clive Cussler's Oregon Files series. Aboard the one of the most advanced spy ships ever built, they face new challenges and nemeses as they undertake another dangerous mission.
  • Identity Crisis, Ben Elton A series of apparently random murders draws an amiable, old-school detective into a world of politics, reality TV and a bewildering kaleidoscope of opposing identity groups. Lost in a blizzard of hashtags, his already complex                investigation is further impeded by the fact that he simply doesn't ‘get' a single thing about anything anymore.
  • Into The Dark, Karen Rose When Michael saves his brother from his stepfather, he runs for his life with his brother in his arms. From his hiding place he sees the man who has made their lives a misery taken away in the trunk of a stranger’s car, never to be seen again. But as the only witness to the man who murdered his stepfather, Michael is in danger. As bodies start to appear it's clear that this killer wants vengeance…and will wipe out anyone who gets in his way.
  • Starting From Now, Fleur McDonald When journalist Zara Ellison receives her mother's ominous text message, "Call me when you can," she knows it's not good news. Two weeks later, Zara has left her much-loved city life and is unpacking boxes back home. But there’s a mystery afoot in this quiet country town: one Zara might not be able to resist solving.
  •  The Diamond Hunter, Fiona McIntosh From the harsh desert of Africa's Kimberley diamond mine to the misty green plains of northern England, Clementine’s story is a breathtaking adventure about trust and betrayal, the ultimate quest for truth, and a love that is truly priceless.
