Key outcomes from Council’s meeting held on 3 September 2026
At its Ordinary Council Meeting on 3 September 2026, the Shire of Toodyay Council considered a range of financial, community and infrastructure matters.
Council approved a budget amendment to incorporate $7.53 million in Regional Road Safety Program funding into the 2026/27 Annual Budget. The funding will support works on Toodyay Bindi Bindi Road and Julimar Road.
Community sponsorship agreements totalling more than $34,000 were approved for YouthCARE, Lions Club of Toodyay, Toodyay Events Planning Inc, Avon Valley Vintage Vehicle Association and Toodyay Triathlon Club. The agreements will support approved activities during the 2026/27 financial year.
Council also supported interim activation projects at the old depot site and Fiennes Street Reserve. These include opening the old depot site entrances to provide large-vehicle parking and preparing a budget for reticulated turf on the former tennis courts for Council’s consideration as part of the mid-year budget review.
