Pursuant to Section 46(1A)(a) and (b) of the Bush Fires Act 1954, due to dry conditions and elevated Fire Danger Rating (currently forecast VERY HIGH for Sunday), the Chief Bush Fire Control Officer for Shire of Toodyay PROHIBITS THE LIGHTING OF ANY FIRE within the Shire of Toodyay from 1200hrs (midday) Saturday 23/05/2020 until 2359hrs Sunday 24/05/2020. Any existing fires must be extinguished by 1200hrs (midday) Saturday 23/05/2020 and presence maintained throughout the above period. Person(s) responsible for any fire not, or unable to be, extinguished must report location of such fire to an appointed Shire of Toodyay Fire Control Officer or Ranger Services by 1200hrs (midday) Saturday 23/05/2020. Penalties apply.
