On 6 December 2018, an inquiry into aspects of the Shire of Toodyay administration and Council was authorised in accordance with 8.3(2) of the Local Government Act 1995. The long awaited report resulting from the 2 year inquiry was presented in Parliament on the afternoon of Tuesday, 13 October 2020 by the Hon. David Templeman MLA Minister for Local Government; Heritage; Culture and the Arts.
As expected, the Report highlighted certain aspects of Council and some operations of administration where closer oversight and control would have been prudent. The Shire will work with the Department of Local Government to make improvements in the areas identified.
The complete report can be found on the document link and you are invited to contact the Shire if you have any questions.
