Invitation for Public Comment - Proposed Extractive Industry - Stormville Gravel Quarry, Hoddys Well

The Shire of Toodyay has received an application for an Extractive Industry at Lot 3 (826) Clackline–Toodyay Road, Hoddys Well (commonly known as Vernice Gravel Pit).

The proposal seeks approval for the extraction, crushing and screening of gravel and sand at the site. As part of the assessment process, the Shire is inviting public comment due to the potential impacts associated with the proposed quarry operations.

Community members are strongly encouraged to review these documents prior to making a submission.

Written submissions must be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Aaron Bowman, and clearly reference P2025-87. Submissions must include the submitter’s name and contact details.

Submissions close at 4.00pm on Thursday, 2 April 2026.

All submissions will be considered by Council as part of the decision-making process. Unless requested otherwise, submissions may be made publicly available and personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
