Due to rain and dangerous floodway conditions, Lovers Lane is partially closed to all traffic.
As part of the Shire of Toodyay’s Capital Works Program, an 850m section of Toodyay Street (Continuing on to Toodyay West Road) will be reconstructed. Works involve the installation of piped drainage, road widening and adjusting levels to prevent water ponding. The existing footpath will be extended along Toodyay Street to Reserve Road, and a walkable gravel shoulder will then be provided for the remaining distance to Harcourt Street.
Identification of all livestock is required by law under the Biosecurity and Agriculture Management (Identification and Movement of Stock and Apiaries) Regulations 2013 [BAM (IMSA) Regulations].
Cr Paula Greenway tendered her resignation to the CEO recently and will be stepping down as a Councillor as of 30 April 2021. Cr Greenway has dedicated the past 7 years to the Shire of Toodyay as a Councillor and feels that it is now time for her focus to be redirected to her business and family.
In order to complete these works a closure of the intersection is necessary to all traffic entering or exiting Racecourse Rd. A detour will be in place to direct traffic via Sandplain Rd for the duration. In Toodyay a bend on Julimar Road near the intersection of Toodyay West Road in West Toodyay with significant crash history is to be re-aligned and the seal widened, with raised pavement markers and delineation.
