NOTICE OF INTENTION TO IMPOSE DIFFERENTIAL RATES
In accordance with Section 6.33 and 6.35 of the Local Government Act 1995, the Shire of Toodyay hereby gives notice of its intention to impose differential rates and minimum rates on all rateable gross rental valued (GRV) and unimproved-valued (UV) properties within its boundaries during the 2021/22 financial year. The differential rates are imposed on the basis of predominant land use as detailed below: -

UV General 0.013823 cents $1,351.00
UV Rural 0.008858 cents $1,351.00
The proposed rate in in the dollar is mathematically calculated from the updated Landgate Valuations to arrive at a consistent 5.0% revenue increase across each Land Use Category.
The figures stated above are indicative and are subject to change due to valuation variations and as part of Council’s 2021/22 Budget deliberations. All rates in the dollar are provided on this notice as information to the community.
A document describing the objects and reasons for each proposed general and minimum rate may be inspected at, or obtained from, the Shire of Toodyay Administration Office, 15 Fiennes Street, Toodyay, between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm or on the Shire’s websites.
