Corella Population Management

Published on Wednesday, 29 January 2020 at 7:00:00 AM

Over the next two weeks the Shire of Toodyay Rangers will be conducting scare tactics to help with Corella management, focusing on the area of the school (outside of school hours), the town oval and the tennis courts.

The Rangers will be shooting using non-lethal blanks to scare the birds away from the areas.

The Shire is working towards both short term and long term solutions for the management of these birds, due to the destructive behaviour and the disturbance to many of the native wildlife breeding habitats.
