Main Roads WA's Toodyay Road Upgrade works – currently focused on the section between Clackline-Toodyay Road and Northam-Toodyay Road – are well underway.

Since construction began in late November, activities have included vegetation removal and the preparation of a rock outcrop for blasting. The removal of the rock outcrop and construction on the eastbound carriageway will take place in early 2023.

To date, traffic delays – including temporary lane closures – have been minor, with the project aiming to limit its impact on road users as much as possible. The Shire will advise residents and road users of potential traffic delays as informed by Main Roads.

Please note that the construction site will shut down for the festive season from Wednesday 21 December 2022 to Wednesday 4 January 2023. Traffic management measures will be removed from Toodyay Road during this period. Please drive safely and to conditions.

Thank you for your cooperation while these works take place. If you have any questions regarding the Toodyay Road Upgrade project, please contact Main Roads on 138 138 or email enquiries@mainroads.wa.gov.au.
