Six Shire staff members joined the ‘hairy season’ movement this year in raising funds for Movember.
The Mo Bro Six – as they are now affectionately known: Hugo, Sean, Maurice, Dan, Wade and Leon made a difference, raising almost $3000 towards mental health and suicide prevention, prostate and testicular cancer in men.
Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up research and motivating men to take action for their own health.
The Shire of Toodyay has big plans for 2022 and the rumour is that a challenge could be brewing with our friends and fellow neighbouring local governments of Northam, Goomalling, Victoria Plains and York.
On behalf of the Shire of Toodyay, we would like to thank all those involved who have donated in 2021 we appreciate the love and support you have shown.
Great job boys and thank you for inspiring us all. The challenge now is to see how long the hairy season extends!!
