Due to seasonal conditions, the Shire of Toodyay has EXTENDED the RESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD until & including 14/05/2024, with further extension possible. No Burning allowed without a valid permit.

Road works on Toodyay Street have taken longer than anticipated due to several issues, including major weather events. While the works will be completed as soon as possible, the Shire asks for a little more patience from the community.
During the road build, the Shire instigated a dust suppressant regime with regular watering and set the speed limit at 40km per hour. However, a significant amount of dust is still being generated and mostly from cars driving too fast.
Drivers, please be mindful of the local residents and the frustration that they are experiencing with the amount of dust being created and simply slow down. In this very easy way, we can all help to ease the burden.
