Reminder - Local Laws Open for Public Comment

At the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 22 February 2023, Council resolved to undertake a review of the following Shire of Toodyay Local Laws in accordance with Section 3.16 of the Local Government Act 1995:

  • Activities on Thoroughfares and Trading in Thoroughfares and Public Places;
  • Cat Local Law;
  • Cemeteries (Toodyay and Jimperding);
  • Dogs Local Law;
  • Extractive Industries;
  • Health Local Law;
  • Local Government Fencing;
  • Local Government Property;
  • Parking and Parking Facilities;
  • Pest Plants; and
  • Standing Orders

Your feedback on these current local laws is encouraged and welcomed. The Laws can be viewed here or at the Shire Administration Centre, Visitor Centre, or Toodyay Public Library during business hours.

Submissions should be lodged via records@toodyay.wa.gov.au or addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Toodyay, PO Box 96, Toodyay WA 6566.

Submissions must be received by 5.00pm, Thursday 20 April 2023. Any submissions received will be considered as part of the review process and will be publicly available in the Council Agenda.
