Notification - Fox Baits in Avon Valley National Park

Published on Tuesday, 29 November 2022 at 9:00:00 AM

The Shire wishes to advise residents that the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) is currently undertaking fox control operations, via baiting, throughout Avon Valley National Park.

Baiting is undertaken to reduce the fox population predating native fauna. The DBCA’s current fox control program commenced in August 2015 and will continue at regular intervals until August 2025.

Fox baits are deadly to domestic animals, including cats and dogs, if ingested. Avon Valley National Park should be considered unsafe for pets year-round. Please do not bring your pets into or allow them to roam within the park area.

If you have any questions, please contact the Perth Hills DBCA office on 9290 6100.
