The Shire of Toodyay’s Ordinary Postal Election will be held on Saturday 21 October 2023, to fill three (3) vacancies. Nominations open Thursday 31 August 2023 and close 4.00pm, Thursday 7 September 2023.
To help inform and prepare prospective candidates across the State, the WA Local Government Association (WALGA), together with the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) and the WA Electoral Commission (WAEC) hosted an Election Candidate Information Briefing webinar on Monday August 14.
This webinar featured presentations from DLGSC, WAEC, and WALGA staff; described the key processes and duties involved in becoming a Councillor; and included a question-and-answer session addressing direct queries from participants.
The recording and accompanying slides are now available to view online, for any prospective candidates who missed or would like to revisit the briefing.
