Are you, or is anyone you know, passionate about safeguarding and promoting cultural heritage? Here's a chance to make a difference in the Shire of Toodyay.

Shire of Toodyay is inviting community members to register their interest in being part of the newly established Heritage Advisory Committee. The committee plays a central role in guiding the Council on issues of preservation, interpretation, and promotion of cultural and built heritage. We aspire to create a deeper appreciation and understanding of Indigenous and post-colonial heritage, thereby enriching the cultural tapestry of our community.

The Shire encourages expressions of interest from all members of the community and is particularly keen to hear from people from diverse cultural backgrounds, young people, and people of Noongar heritage who wish to contribute to the care and promotion of cultural heritage throughout the Toodyay district.

You can express your interest by completing a form available on the Shire’s website here.

The closing date for submissions is Friday 3 May 2024 at 12.00pm (noon).
