Do you want to have a say on the ways in which forests across Western Australia are protected and utilised? The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) currently has a Draft Forest Management Plan 2024-2033 out for public comment, with feedback both encouraged and welcomed.
Covering 2.5 million hectares – from Lancelin north of Perth to Denmark on the south coast – the plan sets out management activities to protect forest values and balance the many ways our forests are used.
Submissions regarding the draft plan may be made up to and including Sunday 18 December 2022. For more information, to view the plan, and/or to submit a comment, please visit dbca.wa.gov.au/forest-management-plan.
If you have any questions, please contact forest.info@dbca.wa.gov.au.
