Annual Reports

This Code of Conduct applies to elected members, staff and various
committee members of the Shire of Toodyay. The Code applies to everyone unless any particular group is clearly designated.

Under the Local Government Act 1995 both the Council and the Chief Executive Officer are given certain functions and duties to be discharged, in accordance with Section 5.42 of the Local Government Act 1995. Council may delegate authority to perform some of its functions and duties to the Chief Executive Officer.

The objectives of the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (The FOI Act) is to provide the public access to documents held by the Shire of Toodyay.

Under the Local Government Act 1995, the Local Government (Rules of Conduct) Regulations 2007 and the Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996 Elected Members and employees are required to disclose gifts and/or contributions to travel worth over $200 within 10 days of having received the gift including multiple gifts/contributions from the same donor with a total value over $200.
