The Shire wishes to advise residents and road users that construction activities will be taking place along a 740-metre section of Toodyay Road – between Clackline-Toodyay Road and Northam-Toodyay Road – from 24 November 2022 to mid-2023 (completion date to be advised).
These works are being undertaken by Main Roads and form part of the larger Toodyay Road Upgrade project. The specified section of Toodyay Road will be reconstructed, realigned and widened, making it consistent with the completed section and allowing it to meet Australian Standards for regional roads.
While significant traffic disruptions are not expected during this period, temporary speed limit reductions will be in place and a small number of short-term closures (5-30 minutes) will be required for certain aspects of the construction. Please observe traffic management plans on site and drive with care.
More information on these works and the wider Toodyay Road Upgrade is available here. If you have any questions, please contact Main Roads on 138 138 or via email at enquiries@mainroads.wa.gov.au.
