Notification - Temporary Closure of Toodyay Railway Station Pedestrian Crossing

Published on Tuesday, 8 November 2022 at 8:15:12 AM

The Shire wishes to advise that Toodyay Railway Station's pedestrian crossing will be temporarily closed later this month, as Arc Infrastructure conducts upgrades to both the crossing and track infrastructure.

These upgrades will take place from 7am on Wednesday November 23 to 5pm on Friday November 25. During this time, pedestrians will be redirected to cross the rail line at either Harper Road or the Duke Street overpass (shown on the map here).

Transwa passengers using the AvonLink, MerredinLink and Prospector services will be able to board and disembark at Toodyay Railway Station, but will not be able to use the pedestrian crossing.

Arc Infrastructure will place message boards near the level crossing in the lead-up to the closure to notify the local community, and will have traffic management contractors on site for the duration of the works to assist and redirect pedestrians.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused to the local community and train passengers, and look forward to delivering an upgrade which will provide better amenities for users of the pedestrian crossing.
