The Shire of Toodyay invites submissions on the Draft Local Planning Scheme No. 5.
The Shire of Toodyay Local Planning Strategy (LPS) was endorsed by the Western Australian Planning Commission on 22 June 2018. A key recommendation of the LPS that the Shire develops a new local planning scheme to provide regulation of land use and development of land within the Shire.
At the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 28 August 2018, the Council of the Shire of Toodyay adopted for the purpose of advertising draft Local Planning Scheme No. 5. The Shire has now received consent from the Environmental Protection Authority to formally advertise its Draft Local Planning Scheme No. 5 for public comment.
Formal advertising will occur between 2 September 2020 and 2 December 2020 in accordance with the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015. Plans and documents that set out and explain draft Local Planning Scheme No. 5 are available for inspection and can be found –
• at the Shire of Toodyay Administration Offices (during office hours);
• at the Shire of Toodyay Community Libraries (Toodyay and Morangup) during opening hours;
• on the Shire of Toodyay website: www.toodyay.wa.gov.au; and
• at the Western Australian Planning Commission, Perth during office hours.
