The Shire of Toodyay is now a member of Wheatbelt North KidSport. This program funded by the Department of Sports and Recreation aims to make it possible for Western Australian children to participate in community sport and recreation, no matter their financial circumstances. Financial assistance toward club fees is available for eligible youth. For further information click here to download KidSport Application Form.
From 14 November 2016, the online application form will be available for public use, for people using the Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card route. Please go to http://www.dsr.wa.gov.au/funding/individuals/kidsport to apply. If you have already applied for KidSport using a hard copy application form this calendar year, you will not need to re-apply again online.
Showground / Oval / Pavilion / Youth Hall
The showgrounds include a full sized oval and cricket pitch, cricket nets, grandstand, hockey field, Pavilion and Youth Hall. The sports and activities that currently utilise the facilities include hockey, football, cricket, kindy gym and karate, as well as a number of special events.

Tennis is very popular in Toodyay and the Tennis Club has recently upgraded the facilities located on Fiennes Street (opposite the Shire Administration Centre).
New facilities for basketball, netball and tennis are now open opposite the Shire offices in Fiennes Street in Toodyay. To maximise use of the facilities they will be available free of charge and open daylight hours 7 days a week. Organised sport will have priority over casual use and sporting groups can book the courts through the Shire Administration during business hours.
The Toodyay Golf Course is located above the Toodyay Race Course on Racecourse Road, approximately 5 km west of the townsite. Set amongst the trees and overlooking the Avon Valley it is a magnificent location to enjoy a round of golf.
The Toodyay Bowling Club is situated on Stirling Terrace, Toodyay overlooking the Avon River and valley. The facility is extremely well maintained and the club is very active.
The beauty of the Avon Valley makes walking a very pleasant past time in Toodyay. The Shire of Toodyay is continuing to upgrade its pathways to improve the safety and enjoyment of pedestrians and cyclists. Locate at Duidgee Park in the heart of Toodyay is a Skate Park that caters for a range of skills and abilities. This is a popular meeting point for young people in the townsite. Stage 2 - "The Bowl" - is due to be completed in late 2015.
