Events More Information - Toodyay's International Food Festival
     Extending from Duidgee Park to the Anglican Church, 04-08-2012 10:00 AM - 04-08-2012 06:00 PM
Toodyay International Food Festival, now in its eighth year, allowing stallholders to deliver mouth-watering dishes of an international flavour. This event coincides with the Avon Descent and the Food Festival entices over 5,000 festival goers to the banks of the Avon River. Interested Stallholders should obtain a Stallholder Application form from the Shire of Toodyay Administration Centre or from the Visitors Centre in Toodyay. These forms can also be emailed and are on-line at https://www.toodyay.wa.gov.au/formsandpublications/forms The Shire of Toodyay are seeking interested businesses to sponsor the Food Festival Entertainment. If you are interested in participating as a Sponsor please contact Stephanie Slater at the Visitors Centre on (08) 9574 2435 or download the application package at https://www.toodyay.wa.gov.au/formsandpublications/forms

Events Rapid Ascent
     Starts at Toodyay to finish at Houghton's Winery, Swan, 09-09-2012 06:00 AM - 09-09-2012 06:00 PM
This MainPeak Multisport event comprises of 6 stages of comprising two each of trail running, road cycling and kayaking over a distance of almost of almost 130 kilometres in the one day. Participants may be solo competitors or relay teams of 3 or 6. It is envisaged that the fastest competitor will complete the event in 6.5 hours with others taking up to 12 hours. Some of Australia's most notable triathletes are expected to compete in this enormous personal endurance challenge providing less seasoned competitors a chance to run with the best.
