Agenda, Minutes and Information Bulletins

The agendas for all Council Meetings are available seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting. Attachments referred to in the report listed on the Agenda are also included where possible.

Councillor Information Bulletins are produced as part of the Agenda and include items of interest and information which do not require a decision of Council. The aim of the Bulletin is to separate information dissemination from the Council decision making process and to keep Councillors more informed.

Hard copies of Council Agendas and Minutes are available for viewing at Council's Administration Centre.

Council Policies

In order to provide guidance for the Councillors and officers of the local government, Council adopts policies that are included in the Shire of Toodyay Policy Manual.

Local Laws

Local governments have a general power to provide for the good governance of the people in their district. In exercising this general power a local government can make local laws in accordance with the Local Government Act 1995 and its Regulations.

Delegations Register

A register of Delegations of Authority is kept by the Shire of Toodyay to record the delegations made by Council to the Chief Executive Officer and by the Chief Executive Officer to other Officers. Some delegations are ongoing whilst others give Delegated Authority to make a decision for a “one off” specific reason.

The Shire of Toodyay aims to keep the public informed and a number of other documents are available, either online or as a hard copy.
