Local Emergency Management Committee | The Local Emergency Management Committee meetings are convened as and when required. The purpose of the Local Emergency Management Committee is to:- (a) advise and assist the Council in ensuring Local Emergency Management Arrangements are in place; and This Committee is established under Section 38 of the Emergency Management Act 2005. Local Recovery Committee | The Local Recovery Committee meetings are convened as and when required. The purpose of the Local Recovery Committee is to assist the Council in the recovery process following a local emergency. | Cr K Hogg (Chairperson) |
Bush Fire Advisory Committee
| Bush Fire Advisory Committee Meetings are held last Tuesday in each March and September. This Committee is established under Section 57 of the Bush Fire Act 1954. This Committee does not have any delegated authority. | Cr K Hogg - Shire President; |
Museum Advisory Committee | The Museum Advisory Committee meets quarterly on the 3rd Thursday of each February, May, August and November. The purpose of the Museum Advisory Committee is to provide guidance and assistance to the Council on matters affecting the selection, interpretation or display of the museums artefacts; and matters relating to the promotion of the Museum. This Committee is established under Section 5.8 of the Local Government Act 1995. This Committee does not have any delegated authority. | Cr S Craddock |
Works Advisory Committee | The Works Advisory Committee meets quarterly on the 3rd Thursday of each March, June, September and December. The purpose of the Works Advisory Committee is " to provide guidance and assistance to the Local Government on matters relating to maintaining and developing transport and other infrastructure assets of the Shire in ways that are socially, financially and environmentally responsible.” This Committee is established under Section 5.8 of the Local Government Act 1995.
