Environment
Whilst agriculture is the predominant industry in the Shire of Toodyay, the Shire retains approximately 50% of its native vegetation. The Avon Valley National Park and a great number of reserves provide ample opportunities for the public to appreciate the native flora and fauna. To learn more about where to view wildflowers please contact the Toodyay Visitor Centre.
There are a number of landcare / conservation groups in Toodyay, including the Toodyay Land Conservation District Committee, the Toodyay Naturalists Club, the Toodyay Friends of the River, Philips Brook Catchment Group and the Toodyay Seed Orchard Group. Please see the Community Groups section of our website for contact details.
