Toodyay Youth Advisory Council (YAC)

The role of the YAC is to represent the voice of the all the youth and young adults in Toodyay. The committee is made up of young people aged 13 to 25 years of age who have a strong desire to represent all youth on the issues affecting young people in the Shire of Toodyay, and make a difference in the community. The YAC gives young people an opportunity to stand up and take charge of things they believe need to happen in Toodyay, meet other young leaders and influence and empower your peers. No particular skills are required, just enthusiasm and motivation.

The YAC provides you with the opportunity to get together with other young people and work on something that you care about. From music and art events whatever  your passion is, the YAC will embrace it. Being a part of the YAC, I can help you access resources, grants, specialised knowledge or training. Ultimately the YAC is what you make it.

If you would like to join the YAC or would like more information, please contact the Shire on (08) 9574 2258
