From mid September 2019 until February 2020 the Newcastle Gaol will be undergoing an important roof restoration. Throughout this period parts of the gaol will be closed off.

From mid October on wards the entire gaol will be closed. Visitors will get to observe the historical craftsmanship of re-shingling a roof with authentic wood shingles.

The police stables, Wicklow shearing shed, machinery shed and 1907 lock up will remain open - entry fees will no longer apply.

Please contact the Toodyay Visitor Centre if you have any questions.
