Toodyay’s 1st Recycled Regatta Community event for all ages
Join the Toodyay Community Resource Centre at Connor’s bridge at Goomalling Road on Saturday the 16th September at 9.00am
All boats must be pre built and have a 3 metre rope attached to the bow for rescue purposes.
Paddle your way down the Avon River finishing at Duidgee Park with a sausage sizzle and musical entertainment by “Love n Hart”.
Teams are to consist of between 2 & 4 people and must paddle down the river in their own homemade raft, consisting of recycled materials. Use your imagination and you may just win a prize.
All community members are encouraged to help support this non-competitive fun community event. Whether you would like to have a go rafting (any ages), or support by volunteering your time to assist the Toodyay Community Resource Centre with marshalling or checkpoints.
It is also most important that we have our spectators to cheer our teams on or may be have a laugh at some of the less talented rafters, who are willing to give it a go – i.e. The TCRC TEAM.
Entry fee is $20.00 per team
Please register and pay fees at the Toodyay Community Resource Centre by the 31st August 2017.
If you don’t like getting your feet wet, then make a land boat and walk along the Bilya Walk Trail following the river.
Remember, you’re never too old to have a go.
